London, May 4th, 2023 – Village Capital, with support from Visa Foundation, have selected 15 Europe-based startups to take part in their Greentech Europe 2023 program.
The program, which is in its second year running, is focused on supporting gender diverse and women-led ventures that are developing solutions to address climate change in Europe. This program is a first of its kind for the organization because it features an all-female cohort and advisory board who will provide dedicated support to improve the participation, and funding of women-led ventures in the region.
More than 90 startups from 20 countries applied to be a part of the accelerator. The final cohort is composed of 15 startups from Austria, Barcelona, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, and the UK, who will join our community of over 80 Greentech startups in the region.
Here are the 15 sustainability startups developing solutions to address climate change across Europe:
The selected startups will benefit from a wide range of support including expert training, advice, mentorship, and network support from potential strategic partners, investors, and fellow founders in the region. The startups will also connect one-on-one with an investment analyst for feedback and support to improve their investment readiness. At the end of the program, startups will have an opportunity to receive USD $125,000, collectively, in grant funding to further scale their solutions.
