Women entrepreneurs face greatly unequal access to the capital necessary to grow and scale their start-ups. Our new research shows that despite women leading nearly half the start-ups that participate in accelerators—entities designed to train and support the development of startups to become investment ready—this gender financing gap continues to grow.

“*Venture Capital and the Gender Financing Gap: The Role of Accelerators*”, developed by IFC, the World Bank Group Gender Innovation Lab, in partnership with Village Capital and We-Fi, leveraging data from the Global Accelerator Learning Initiative (GALI), studies the steep differential between financing for male and female-led startups post-acceleration. **Read more and learn about the potential causes in the report.**
