Forbes' Devin Thorpe wrote about a recent report that revealed that funding for female founders is on pace to fall below 2018 levels. Village Capital CEO Allie Burns was quoted:
Acknowledging that the trends are positive, Allie Burns, CEO of Village Capital, says, “The total percentage of dollars going to female founded companies remains stubbornly stuck at below 15%, in spite of reams of data showing that investing in diverse founders is a better investment. Capital should be diversifying at a much faster rate for investors who are truly focused on maximizing financial returns.”
